NFCS Named as a State Wide Training Center for Service Learning

After six years as a funded Student Service Learning Center through the PA Department of Education, NFCS has been awarded an expansion grant to become state wide Service Learning Training Center. This new center, named the Caring Community Charter Training Center will focus its efforts on bringing Service Learning to charter schools across Pennsylvania through workshops, mini-grants, and youth leadership events. This spring, NFCS will work to coordinate a state-wide service fair at the PA Charter Schools Conference. In addition, NFCS will be supporting Charter School Service Learning projects through awarding mini-grants to teachers and students, and providing ongoing technical assistance to schools using Service Learning.
