F is for Fire Safety

October is fire safety month. The kindergarten teachers invited Firefighter McDowell, who is Sean's Daddy in Mrs. Coyle's class to come in to talk to their students. The children were very excited to share all the fire safety tips that they already knew. We all practiced how to act and what to do if there is a fire in our home. Emma Long and Sarah McCullough were excited to try on all 50 pounds of the fire gear. It is advised that this weekend when we change our clocks back that you also change the batteries in all of your smoke detectors. There should be a smoke detector on each floor and in each bedroom.
