Construction UPDATE
February 27, 2008
Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
The construction of our new addition has been moving along rapidly and we are right on schedule. Most of the site work (storm and sewer drains) has been completed, the steel frame is up, plumbing and electric lines have begun to be run, the lecture hall floor is being pored and the hallway frame connecting the new addition to the current building is almost complete.
One of the next phases of the construction project will be connecting the sewer line from the front of the building (on the current playground on the Rhawn Street side of the building) to the sewer line on Rhawn Street. Beginning today and lasting the next several weeks there will be no parking or pickup on Rhawn Street! All students will still be dismissed out the upper grade doors at the normal construction dismissal times (2:40 pm for Kindergarten and siblings; 2:45 for students being picked up). You may still use Rhawn Street when dropping off the children in the morning.
Also when picking up the children in the afternoon DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THE BUSINESSES ON VAN DYKE STREET! I have had several business owners complain to me that they can not operate their businesses when our parents/guardians are blocking their business.
Again, please do not stop/park/block Rhawn Street in the afternoon when picking up your child/ren. Remember, for your safety and the safety of our students, always cross at the traffic signal at Rhawn St. and Torresdale Avenue.
Thank you for your cooperation, understanding and support. Sincerely,
Mr. Paul Stadelberger CEO
