NFCS has two programs for youth, so please read below to help decide which program is best for you. The program is open to ANY youth in Philadelphia who meet the age and participation requirements. Applications must be completed online with the Referral Code provided. Youth will receive an email from the staff regarding enrollment and interviews.
All jobs are 20 hours/week at a local business or organization. Youth are paid $7.25/hour and will report to an on-site supervisor. The staff works to ensure that youth are placed at a worksite that best fits their interests and experience levels. The program starts Monday, July 3, and ends Friday, August 11.
In order to be eligible, youth must complete an online application, and then come to NFCS for enrollment and an interview during an assigned time. Youth will be required to bring eligibility documentation (birth certificate, Social Security card, school ID or report card), complete an online background check (in accordance with Pennsylvania state law), and submit PYN’s required permission forms.
