Homework Lab

Beginning, Tuesday, September 6th, the High School Afterschool Homework Lab will be open Mondays-Thursdays from 2-4pm in the second floor library! Please feel free to use this space as a quiet place to do homework, access a computer or Internet or even print items for school related projects. It’s absolutely FREE! The Homework Lab will be open every full day of school Monday-Thursday unless an announcement is made about a special closure.

Learning Labs

If you are interested in getting extra help in any of your classes, you can stop by one of our FREE Learning Labs to get some support in English, Math, Spanish, Science or Social Studies. The labs are drop in (you don’t have to sign up in advance or go every week) and are completely free. If you didn’t get what you learned in class this week or have a test coming up – this is a great place to get some extra help!

All of the labs will begin this week and will run from 2-3:30pm on all FULL DAYS of school, except for social studies which will begin next month.

Monday – Social Studies in Mrs. Lamanna’s Room (302) (Social Studies begins 10/10)
Tuesday – English in Ms. Dooley’s Room (321)
Wednesday – Math in Mr. Schmidt’s Room (133)
Thursday – Spanish in Ms. Moffat’s (309)
Thursday – Science in Mr. Hughes’ Room (312)

K-8 Academic Support

One on One Academic Support Tutoring

While we will be offering group tutoring to meet the needs of our students post progress reports, if you think your child would benefit from one on one tutoring or if they don’t qualify for group tutoring, consider inquiring about one on one tutoring. If you are interested in learning more, please fill out the attached form and turn it in to the CARES Office. Someone will be in touch with you about setting up a one on one tutor. Please note that these sessions will be held at cost, $30/hour.

3rd-8th Grade Small Group Academic Support Programming

For students who need extra academic support, we will be offering FREE small group Academic Support Programming for after school during Q2 and Q3 (November-March) in the following areas listed below. If you are interested in enrolling in any of these programs, please contact the child’s teacher for a registration form. Please note that due to limited spaces in these programs, you must be referred through your teacher to be enrolled.
