Asian Club

The Asian club is dedicated to providing a culture where all those from Asian ethnicities can feel safe in school. Club members will work on projects that benefit our community and get to know others from similar or different cultures. Even though the club is focused on supporting Asian students, we still encourage others from different races and ethnicities to join in order to understand and appreciate all cultures. Film Club

Are you interested in watching movies, having discussions about them, and rating them for the school newspaper? Than this club is for you! Join Mr. Rufo & Mr. Bullock on Thursdays after school for some time to unwind, hang with friends and delve deep into some awesome films! See Mr. Rufo or Mr. Bullock for more information.

Service Learning Ambassadors & Mentors (SLAM)/InterACT Club

Are you interested in making a difference? Do you want to participate in service projects to help your community? Do you want to meet new people and make new friends? Do you want be a leader at New Foundations? Consider joining the Service Learning Ambassadors and Mentors (SLAM)/InterACT Club!
If interested fill out the application and retreat permission form. Please bring the completed application and permission form to the group interview, which will be held on Wednesday, September 14th, from 3:05-4:15pm in the K-8 Library.

Chorus

Do you like to sing? Are you interested in being a part of NFCHS’ very first high school chorus? Make new friends and share your love for singing through this awesome program. For more information, see Ms. McMahon.

Art Club

If you are a creative type and want to hang out after school with other people who share the same interest, then this club is for you! Explore different mediums and increase your skills by perfecting your craft. See Ms. A. Montgomery for more information!

Costa Rica Explorations

Are you in 7th-11th Grade? Are you interested in learning more about Costa Rican culture? Do you like to do service projects? Do you like to travel? Do you want to make new friends? Consider being a part of the Costa Rica Exploration Program at New Foundations!
Applications are now available! (DOWNLOAD HERE) Completed applications are due 10/14 and there will be a mandatory group interview on 10/18 for all applicants. Have questions or concerns? Please feel free to come to the Family Orientation on Tuesday, 10/11from 6-7pm in the K-8 MPR or contact Ms. Tiffany Searles, Director of Programs at tsearles@nfcs.k12.pa.us

Yearbook Club

Student-run photography and Yearbook construction, wherein the students set up team pictures, club photos and capture school life at NFCHS (Registration Form).

Student Council (participants are chosen through elections)

Student Leadership through action at NFCHS wherein the members of Student Council provide a voice for their individual grades and give back through service learning activities (Registration Form).

Culinary Club

Created by current Senior, Nick Lennon, a club that provides and reviews simple cooking skills in conjunction with sharing recipes and learn about diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds (Registration Form).

Rock Band

Student-created club that provides an opportunity for the musically gifted and the musically interested students to learn basic instrumental skills and jam out with fellow classmates (Registration Form).

K-8 Spring Choir (Due 1/27)

Do you like to sing and share your musical talent with others? You should join the NFCS Choir! Practices take place on Mondays for grades 3-8 and Tuesdays for K, and 1&2 Grade. Please fill out the appropriate registration form if you are interested in joining!

Attention 4th-8th Grade Students! Do you want to stay fit and active while learning some self defense techniques? Consider joining New Foundation’s spring Karate Class. Please fill out the registration form below to join!

K-2 Ballet/Jazz (Enrollment Due 9/21 — only 25 spots!)

New Foundations is lucky enough to host one of The Rock School of Dance’s Ballet and Jazz classes for K-2 students! This class is taught by professional dancers and takes place on Fridays. This program always fills up fast, so if you’re interested, please get your enrollment form in ASAP!

Healthy Eating Advocacy Team (HEAT) (rolling)

Are you a middle school student that is interested in spending time in the school garden? Do you like eating healthy and think that other people you know should eat healthy too? If so, you should join the HEAT Team! HEAT helps manage the school and community garden, goes on trips, leads cooking demonstrations and so much more!

3rd-8th Grade Hip Hop Jazz Program

The Rock School for Dance Education is offering an awesome opportunity for 3rd-8th grade students to take a Rock School class in Hip Hop and Jazz after school at New Foundations for only $25! This class offered at the Rock School is an $800 value! The program will take place on Tuesdays from 3-4pm and will begin on 11/1. Please complete a registration form as soon as possible if you are interested – spaces are limited!

Resident Expert (RE) Art Program (Application Due — 9/13)

If you enjoy art but want to take your time in class to the next level, consider applying to be one of Ms. McComb’s Resident Experts! As an RE you will stay after school to work on class assignments so that you can be a helper to other students during your class. Applications for Semester 1 are due soon, so please see Ms. McComb ASAP if you’re interested.

Yearbook Club (Enrollment Due — 10/7)

Calling all middle school students who are interested in photography and design! Please think about joining this year’s Yearbook Club. Learn more about the art of creating the yearbook while providing a service to your peers that will last a lifetime! If you would like more information, please ask Ms. Tarman or Ms. Tracey.

Spelling Bee

Do you always get A’s in spelling and want to show off your skills? Do you like the idea of representing NFCS in local and possibly regional competitions? This club may be for you! See Mr. Uhl for more information.
