K-1 Ballet/Jazz
Program taught by a professional dancer from the Rock School for Dance Education. Program is year long (September-May) and takes place on Fridays from 3-4pm. Program begins on Friday, 9/29. 2-3 Ballet/Jazz

4-5 Ballet/Jazz

3-6 Resident Experts – Art
Apply to help Ms. McComb in her art class! REs will be staying after school on Tuesdays to work on their classwork so they can make themselves available to be assistants during class time to other students. Only 2 students from each class will be selected – make sure to get your application into Ms. McComb by Wednesday, September 20th!

3-4 Choir
Do you like to sing? Are you excited to work on your voice and hang out with other students who like to do the same? Join 3-4 choir and hang out with Ms. Lorino while she sings with you and prepares you for our winter concert! 3-4 Choir will meet on Mondays after school. 3-4 Basketball Club
New Foundations is offering a Basketball Club for our 3rd-4th grade students. The program will take place on Thursdays from 3-4:30 from 3/15-5/17. The cost will be $20 for the program and a Club T-Shirt. 5-8 Choir
Hang out and get to know our new middle school music teacher, Mr. Hench! He has a lot of great ideas and he’s going to help you becoming a singing sensation! Do you like to spell? Are you good at it? Consider joining the SpellingBEE club where you can learn new words and practice your spelling with friends. SpellingBEE club will meet on Mondays and Tuesdays after school from 3-4:30pm. Please turn in your registration form before the start of the program on 11/6! Spelling BEE Packet 17-18

NFCS Bowling Club

Do you want to be a bowl-dog? NFCS is inviting interested 6th-8th graders to join an 8 week bowling club on Wednesdays from 3-6pm. The cost of the program is $25 for the whole 8 week program and includes bowling, shoe rental and transportation to/from the bowling alley. Want to join? Fill out a registration form and turn it in to the CARES office ASAP (but no later than Fri 3/23) – only 18 students are able to participate! BowlingClub2018

6-8 Healthy Eating Advocacy Team (HEAT)
Do you like trying new foods? Interested in learning how to take food from the garden to the table, to make healthy snacks? Or are you more interested in learning how to live a healthier life? Then join the Healthy Eating Advocacy Team as the educate the school community and their families through food demos, school-wide healthy eating campaigns and fun & interactive events! HEAT Packet 17-18

6-8 Yearbook
The yearbook is in charge of capturing special memories that highlight the educational and extracurricular activities that happen school-wide. Currently the club is closed for the 2017-2018 school year.

6th-8th Grade Volleyball Club
New Foundations will be offering a Coed Volleyball Club for Middle School Students this Spring. Practices will be held on Fridays from 3-4:30pm in the K-8 gym from February-May. Additional special practices and games will be coordinated throughout the season and a schedule will be provided to players in advance. There will be one-time club fee of $20 that will include a Club T-Shirt and kneepads for all players. 6-8 VEX Robotics Program
Do you like to build things? Do you like to play with robots? Then the VEX Robotics Program might be for you! Work with other members on your team to build a robot and then take it to competitions and go up against other students. VEX Robotics will meet on Tuesdays from 3-5pm. 6-8 Lego
If you like solving problems and working with building things, then sign up for the Lego Program! Students will put their minds to the test and compete against other students to solve problems. 7-11 Costa Rica Explorations
The Costa Rica Explorations Program allows students to experience a new culture, provide a service to a community outside of their own, and participate in adventure activities like hikes, whitewater rafting and zip lining. Many students return with cultural perspective, leadership skills and a greater passion for travel and service. Applications will be available beginning 9/18. There will be an information session for all interested students and family members on Thursday, 9/28 at 6 pm in the K-8 lecture hall. 7-12 SLAM/InterACT Application
Service Learning Ambassadors and Mentors (SLAM)/InterACT Club is a service learning club where students in grades 7-12 work together to build leadership skills and make a difference locally, nationally and globally. To apply for this program, please fill out the required information and bring it to the group interview on Monday, 9/18. If accepted, you will be invited to our kick off overnight retreat 9/30-10/1 at the Chamounix Mansion in West Fairmount Park. SLAM_InterACT 2017-18 Application Packet
